Balmain Weatherboard renewed
by Dukes Workshop

Designed by Dukes Workshop, this project included alterations & additions to an existing two-storey weatherboard cottage in Sydney’s Inner East. The renovation transformed the back of the house, incorporating a new verandah, roof and first-floor balcony along with a new kitchen, laundry and bathroom inside.

Natural timber floorboards were selected in Oak Country Brushed White Oil and installed throughout.

Natural light spills in from the newly added, extensive concrete terrace at the back of the house and hits the light oak beautifully through a new steel pergola and glass roof.

Large windows, doors and an extensive concrete terrace with a steel pergola and glass roof were added to enhance the modern, open and relaxed design.
