Staying ahead of the curve
Staying ahead of the curve
Approached by clients prior to purchasing this property, C+M Studio were asked whether or not they thought they would be able to transform the outdated, dark, existing rabbit warren apartment into a sophisticated, yet relaxed coastal home, in which they could retire.
The client wanted to produce a home “worthy of a magazine cover”, and C+M Studio thought that given the location and good design, working within the existing layout, they would be able to achieve the desired outcome.
Contrast between different spaces was explored through the use of the mafi curved Oak Country Brushed Grey Oil feature wall, in which doors leading to private spaces were hidden, flush with the finished face of the wall.
mafi Oak Country Brushed Grey Oil was used for all the kitchen cabinetry and joins up with the mafi curved.
The mafi was also used on all the cabinetry and on the island bench.
C+M Studio designed the bedroom with the same finishes as the rest of the apartment and used the mafi Oak Country Brushed Grey Oil on the floor to ceiling wardrobes.
Another clever use of the mafi was on the bedhead and bedside tables.
