Thomas Hamel is an award-winning international interior designer and founder and director of Thomas Hamel & Associates, established in 1990 with the aim of providing the ultimate in professional interior design and decorative services.

As the director of his company, Thomas Hamel projects a unique sense of style together with a strong feeling about proportion and good design. An international background has trained Thomas’ eye away from the fashions and gimmickry in decoration; so, while keeping in touch with trends, there is an underlying current of timeless tradition in his interiors.

Not only aware of furnishing and accessorising homes, Thomas is equally interested in working in tandem with architects, developers, audio/visual engineers and other professionals to create total living environments. This is extremely important to Thomas, as city living demands the planned utilisation of every square metre.

Thomas proudly admits “One of the biggest compliments we have is the repeat business from our clients who often come back to us in order update and change their houses, buildings or boats. Also I have been fortunate to grow with families from parents to children as they move to their own habitats.”

Aside from undertaking numerous prestigious residential and hospitality projects across the globe, Thomas’ current bespoke projects include the release of his first publication “Residence” in September 2010, launching a collection of individually designed, hand-printed fabrics, and a custom designed furniture range due to be released in early 2012.
